Linking Dear Jane block and fabric libraries to EQ7 for Mac

To copy the Dear Jane blocks, in order to access them from EQ7 for Mac, you must first have a copy of Dear Jane installed on a Windows computer. (Dear Jane is a Windows program. There is not a way to access the blocks directly from the CD.)
  1. On your PC, click START > Computer > C drive > Program Files(or Program Files x86) > Electric Quilt Company > Dear Jane.
  2. Open the Dear Jane folder. You will see a LIB folder.
  3. Open the LIB folder. Select all of the files ending in .BLK and .FAB. Use CTRL+C to copy these files. Save them to a USB stick. Take that USB to your Mac.
  4. On the Mac, with EQ7 closed > go to your USB and use Command+C to copy the .BLK and .FAB files.
  5. Go to Documents > My EQ7 > Add on Libraries > create a new folder called Dear Jane. Open this new folder and paste (Command+V) the copied .BLK and .FAB files inside.
Now, when you open EQ7 > LIBRARIES > Block Library you should be linked to the Dear Jane blocks. If you open the Fabric Library you should be linked to the Dear Jane fabrics.
