EQ7: Kaleidoscope Collection CD – Linking to EQ

The Kaleidoscope Collection CD should install and link to EQ7 directly. However, if you do have problems installing, follow the instructions below.

Note: The Kaleidoscope Collection is now only available as a download file. The Kaleidoscope download links to EQ automatically.

Linking Kaleidoscope Collection to EQ7 (PC)

You can get the blocks right from the CD and put them into EQ7:

  1. With the Kaleidoscope Collection CD in your CD ROM drive, click START > Computer > (or on Win 8 or 10 hold down your keyboard Windows key and type E).
  2. Right-click the CD drive > click Open.
  3. Double-click the Kaleidoscope Collection folder to open it.
  4. Double-click the LIB folder. You will see 2 files.
  5. Hold down your keyboard SHIFT key, click on one file, and then the other. They should both now be highlighted.
  6. Use CTRL+C to copy the files.
  7. Create a folder inside the My EQ7 > Add-on Libraries folder. Name it Kaleidoscope Collection.  (If you do not have an Add-on Libraries folder inside the My EQ7 folder, create one.)
  8. Use CTRL+V to paste the 2 copied files into your new folder.
  9. Start EQ7 and open the Block Library. The newly linked libraries will appear below the EQ7 Libraries in the list.

Linking Kaleidoscope Collection to EQ7 (Mac)

You can get the blocks right from the CD and put them into EQ7 for Mac:

  1. With the Kaleidoscope Collection CD in your CD ROM drive, navigate to the drive and open it to see the files and folders.
  2. Double-click the Kaleidoscope Collection folder to open it.
  3. Double-click the LIB folder. You will see 2 files.
  4. Select both files and use Command+C to copy them.
  5. Create a folder inside the My EQ7 > Add-on Libraries folder. Name it Kaleidoscope Collection. (The folder name that you create will be the name that appears in the library.)
  6. Use Command+V to paste the 2 copied files into your new folder.
  7. Start EQ7 and open the Block Library. The newly linked libraries will appear below the EQ7 Libraries in the list.
