BlockBase+Each block was individually colored. In this version of BlockBase+, we worked diligently to make sure the grayscale shading and colored version of the blocks are a close parallel to Brackman’s original research. The shading of the patches and the arrangement of those patches were an important part of her research. Different names were given to various shadings of the same pattern.
The colored versions respect the light and dark shading of the original publication. The actual color selections are simply modern decisions and are not indicative of any colors from the original publications, even when specific colorways are mentioned in parenthetical notes below a Published Name in the Notecard panel.
