Electric Quilt 8The StarMaker is available for Applique blocks and motifs.
The Starmaker tool lets you customize a star patch by selecting the number of points, style of points and size of center.
Click the StarMaker button in the palette to open the StarMaker dialog.
Number of points
Allowable values are 3-24.
Size of center
Allowable values are 10-90.
End Point Style
Choose either Flat or Round for the style of the point of the star. Allowable values range from 0 to 30. Changing this style will affect the length of the points. The size of the center will remain unchanged.
Base Point Style
Choose either Flat or Round for the style of the base of the point. Allowable values range from 0 to 30. Changing this style will affect the size of the center and the length of each point.
Flat can be set for Base or End or both.
Round can be set for Base or End or both.
When you close the StarMaker dialog, the star patch will appear centered in your block. It will automatically be selected so that you can move or resize.
Hold the Ctrl key as you drag from the corner to resize the patch. This will maintain the aspect ratio of the star.
There are endless variations that you can create quickly and easily.
