Click here to update your EQ8 now.

Windows 11 OS version 24H2 was released on Oct. 1, 2024. In our testing of EQ8 with this latest update, we have found that opening projects in EQ8 on this Version of Windows 11 causes certain fabrics to become corrupted throwing the following error message:

If you see this error message when you open an existing project:

If you see this error message when you open an existing project, immediately close the project but do NOT save the project. Keeping the project as is, without saving any new work, will allow the project to be restored once this issue has been resolved.

If you see this error message when viewing fabrics in the Fabric Library:

If you receive this error message when scrolling through fabrics in the EQ Fabric Library, click OK on the prompt. You can continue to use this EQ project as the bad fabric has been stripped out of the library and cannot be added to your project.

Creating new EQ projects:

It is safe to create entirely new projects if you have already updated or purchased a new computer with this version. EQ will not let you add one of the problem fabrics to new projects.

Recommendation and Solutions:

Update EQ8 to version 1.1.0.5 either before or after updating your Windows to the 24H2 version.

We have not found any issues with BlockBase+ and this Windows update.
