A great deal of the time these two printouts will look exactly the same. The “white block” is helpful when you’re printing blocks that are partially appliquéd. The appliquéd patches will appear filled with white. Selecting a block from the “Baskets with Applique Contents” and previewing the printout showing each of these selections will make the difference more understandable.
