Unlike EQ7, the projects you create in EQStitch are saved in the *.P7E file format. This is due to the additional stitching information contained in the project for the embroidery you have created with EQStitch. Don’t worry, you can still share the quilt projects you have created in EQStitch with other EQ7 users by exporting your EQStitch project as a *.PJ7.
Exporting an EQStitch Project (*.P7E) as a EQ7 Project (*.PJ7)
- Open the project you wish to convert in EQStitch
- Go to File->Export Project as PJ7(No Stitchings)
- Browse to the location you wish to save the converted project
- Click “Save”
