Windows Computers

Installing EQ7 PC

From a Download

1. Download your EQ7 Download Setup.exe file.
   1. Log into your account on ElectricQuilt.com: https://electricquilt.com/online-shop/account/
   2. Click on the “My Downloads” link.
   3. Click on the “Download File” link that appears to the right of your EQ7 for PC purchase.
   4. Wait for your Download to complete. Depending on your internet connection, this could take 20 minutes or longer.
2. Double click your EQ7 Download Setup.exe file to open it.
3. In the “EQ7 – InstallShield Wizard” window that appears, follow the on screen directions to install EQ7.

From a USB

1. Insert the USB into your PC.
2. Open File Explorer by pressing Windows Key + E on your keyboard.
3. In the File Explorer window that appears, right click on the USB drive.
4. In the menu that appears, click Open.
5. Double click on the Setup.exe file in the list of files on the USB.
6. In the “EQ7 – InstallShield Wizard” window that appears, follow the on screen directions to install EQ7.

From a CD

1. Insert the CD into your PC.
2. Open File Explorer by pressing Windows Key + E on your keyboard.
3. In the File Explorer window that appears, right click on the CD-ROM drive.
4. In the menu that appears, click Open.
5. Double click on the Setup.exe file in the list of files on the CD.
6. In the “EQ7 – InstallShield Wizard” window that appears, follow the on screen directions to install EQ7.

Uninstalling EQ7 for PC

Windows 11

1. Right click on the Windows button  in the lower-left of your computer screen.
2. In the menu that appears, click “Apps and Features”.
3. In the list that appears, find “EQ7” and click the three dot icon to the right.
4. In the list that appears, select “Uninstall”. In the small window that pops up click “Uninstall” again.
5. In the “EQ7 – InstallShield Wizard” window that appears, follow the on-screen directions to uninstall EQ7.

Windows 10

1. Right click on the Windows button .
2. In the menu that appears, click “Apps and Features”.
3. Click “EQ7” once to select it.
4. Click the “Uninstall” button that appears under “EQ7” in the list.
5. In the “EQ7 – InstallShield Wizard” window that appears, follow the on screen directions to uninstall EQ7.

Windows 8/8.1

1. Right click on the Windows button .
2. In the menu that appears, click “Control Panel”.
3. In the “Control Panel” window that appears, find the the “View By” box at the top right. Change the View to “Large Icons”.
4. Double click “Programs and Features”.
5. In the list of programs installed on the computer, find EQ7.
6. Click “EQ7” once to select it.
7. Click the “Uninstall” option in the bar at the top of the program list.
8. In the “EQ7 – InstallShield Wizard” window that appears, follow the on screen directions to uninstall EQ7.

Windows 7

1. Click on the Start button .
2. In the menu that appears, click “Control Panel”.
3. In the “Control Panel” window that appears, find the the “View By” box at the top right. Change the View to “Large Icons”.
4. Double click “Programs and Features”.
5. In the list of programs installed on the computer, find EQ7.
6. Click “EQ7” once to select it.
7. Click the “Uninstall” option in the bar at the top of the program list.
8. In the “EQ7 – InstallShield Wizard” window that appears, follow the on screen directions to uninstall EQ7.

Mac Computers

Installing EQ7 Mac

1. Obtain your Electric_Quilt_7.dmg file.
   1. If you purchased EQ7 for Mac on USB:
      1. Insert the USB into your Mac.
      2. In the window that appears, double-click the Electric_Quilt_7.dmg file.
   2. If you purchased EQ7 for Mac as a Download:
      1. Log into your account on ElectricQuilt.com: https://electricquilt.com/online-shop/account/
      2. Click on the “My Downloads” link.
      3. Click on the “Download File” link that appears to the right of your EQ7 for Mac purchase.
      4. Wait for your Download to complete. Depending on your internet connection, this could take 20 minutes or longer.
         
2. Double click your Electric_Quilt_7.dmg file to open it.
3. In the “Electric Quilt 7” window that appears, click, hold, and drag the EQ7 icon on to the Applications Folder icon that is in this window.
   
4. Wait for EQ7 to finish copying to the Applications folder.
   
5. Electric Quilt can be opened by double clicking the application in your “Applications” folder.

Uninstalling EQ7 Mac

1. Open EQ7.
2. Click Electric Quilt > Deactivate and respond YES to messages.
3. Find the Electric Quilt 7.DMG file. If you purchased the product on USB, it will be on the USB. If you purchased a digital download, it will be on your computer, usually in the Downloads folder, or you can re-download the DMG file from your ElectricQuilt.com account.
4. Double-click on Electric Quilt 7.DMG.
5. Double-click the trash can.
