You can get the blocks, fabrics and quilt layouts directly from the CD, then link them to EQ7/EQ8 (PC or Mac)

Linking AnglePlay to EQ7/EQ8 (PC)

  1. Put the AnglePlay CD into your CD ROM drive.
  2. Choose START > My Computer (or on Win 8 or 10 hold down the Windows key and type E)> right-click the CD ROM (DVD) drive that has the CD > choose Open.
  3. Browse through these folders to: Program files\Electric Quilt Company\EQ5\ AnglePlay
  4. Click on the AnglePlay folder.
  5. Use CTRL+C to copy.
  6. Browse to Documents\My EQ7 or My EQ8\Add-on Libraries, and use CTRL+V to paste the copied AnglePlay folder. (If you do not have an “Add-on Libraries” folder listed yet, create it by right-clicking in the My EQ7 or My EQ8 folder and choosing New > Folder.)

 

Link to the blocks

Now we’ll link these files to EQ7/EQ8. (You’d need to do this linking whether AnglePlay was installed or not):

  1. In EQ7 or EQ8, click LIBRARIES > Block Library.
  2. Click Link Library > click the Add button and type: AnglePlay Blocks.
  3. Click the Browse button.
  4. Browse to Documents\My EQ7 or My EQ8\Add-on Libraries\AnglePlay. Click on it to select it.
  5. Click OK, click OK again.
  6. Click Close to return to the library. You’ve now linked to the blocks.

 

Link to the fabrics

  1. In EQ7 or EQ8, click LIBRARIES > Fabric Library.
  2. Click Link Library > click the Add button and type: AnglePlay Fabrics.
  3. Click the Browse button.
  4. Browse to Documents\My EQ7 or My EQ8\Add-on Libraries\AnglePlay. Click on it to select it.
  5. Click OK, click OK again.
  6. Click Close to return to the library. You’ve now linked to the fabrics.

 

Link to the quilt layouts

  1. In EQ7 or EQ8, click LIBRARIES > Layout Library.
  2. Click Link Library > click the Add button and type: AnglePlay Layouts.
  3. Click the Browse button.
  4. Browse to Documents\My EQ7 or My EQ8\Add-on Libraries\AnglePlay. Click on it to select it.
  5. Click OK, click OK again.
  6. Click Close to return to the library. You’ve now linked to the quilt layouts.

You should now have the blocks, fabrics and layouts, and if you followed the steps above, see them linked in EQ7/EQ8 in the Block, Fabric and Layout Libraries.

 

Linking AnglePlay to EQ7/EQ8 (Mac)

You can get the blocks, fabrics and layouts from the AnglePlay CD

If you have EQ7 or EQ8 for Mac these steps are all you need to do to get the blocks, fabrics and layouts from the CD and into EQ7 or EQ8 for Mac:

  1. Insert the CD and view contents of the CD on your Mac.
  2. Open the following folders: Program files > Electric Quilt Company > EQ5 > AnglePlay.
  3. Use Command+C to copy the .BLK, .FAB and.QLT files.
  4. Go to Documents > My EQ7 or My EQ8 > Add-on Libraries > create a new folder named for AnglePlay.
  5. Use Command+V to paste the copied files into the new folder. You will then find the blocks in EQ7’s or EQ8’s Block Library, the fabrics in EQ7’s or EQ8’s Fabric Library, and quilt layouts in EQ7’s or EQ8’s Layout Library.
