For PC:

All add-on libraries currently linked to the EQ7 or EQStitch on your computer should automatically be linked to your EQ8. Open the library in EQ8 and scroll down in the list on the left to check to see if they are there. If for some reason you are missing a library you can follow the instructions to manually link libraries found here.

For Mac:

Copy the contents of the Add-on Libraries folder in My EQ7 to the My EQ8 folder.

  1. Open Finder.
  2. In the menu bar at the top of the screen, click Go and select Documents from the menu that appears.
  3. In Documents, double-click the My EQ7 folder to open it.
  4. Double-click the Add-on Libraries folder to open it.
  5. Press Command+A on your keyboard to select all the contents of the folder.
  6. Press Command+C to copy the selected items.
  7. Navigate to your My EQ8 folder by going to Finder. In the menu bar at the top of the screen, click on Go and select Home from the menu that appears.
  8. Double-click the My EQ8 folder to open it.
  9. Double-click the Add-on Libraries folder to open it.
  10. Press Command+V to paste the items you copied in step 6.
  11. You should now see the Add-on Libraries in the appropriate library when you open EQ8.

If your add-on product also included project files (products from Kimberly Einmo, Karen K. Stone, Judy Martin and various Boutique products), the project files will open in EQ8 just fine. See this article for opening projects from previous versions in EQ8.
